Warranty Period: 1 Year from Date of Purchase
At SoilSpectra, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our products. This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what is not covered, and how you can request warranty service for your SoilSpectra device.
1. Warranty Coverage
For a period of 1 (one) year from the original date of purchase, SoilSpectra warrants that your device will be free from defects in:
- Battery (performance and manufacturing defects)
- All manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use
If a covered defect arises during the warranty period, SoilSpectra will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the device, or
- Replace the device with a new or refurbished unit of equal or similar specifications
2. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
Shipping / Logistics Costs
- The cost of shipping the device to our service center and/or return shipping to you is not included in this warranty.
- All shipping, customs, and related charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Intentional or Physical Damage
Any damage resulting from:
- Intentional misuse or abuse
- Dropping, impact, crushing, bending, or other physical damage
- Liquid damage, corrosion, or exposure to extreme temperatures
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly
In such cases, repair/replacement may be chargeable. Charges will depend on the extent of damage and the specific device condition, as assessed by SoilSpectra.
Normal Wear and Tear
Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or discoloration that does not affect the device's functionality.
Improper Use or Handling
Damage caused by:
- Not following the user manual or safety instructions
- Using incompatible chargers, power sources, or accessories
- Using the device outside its specified operating conditions
Loss, Theft, or Third-Party Damage
- Any loss or theft of the device
- Damage caused by accidents, natural disasters, fire, power surges, or external events beyond our control
3. Warranty Claim Process
To request warranty service, follow these steps:
Proof of Purchase
Keep your original invoice/receipt. A valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
Contact Support
Reach out to us via the contact details provided on our Contact or Support page on SoilSpectra.
Provide:
- Your name and contact details
- Date and place of purchase
- Device serial number (if available)
- Description of the issue and clear photos/videos if possible
Device Assessment
- We may provide remote troubleshooting steps first.
- If needed, we will ask you to ship the device to our designated service center.
- Note: Shipping to and from the service center will be at your cost.
Repair / Replacement
After inspection, we will inform you whether:
- The issue is covered under warranty (no repair cost, shipping still chargeable), or
- The issue is not covered (e.g., intentional physical damage), in which case we will provide a repair or replacement quote.
Repairs or replacements for non-covered issues will only proceed after your confirmation of the charges.
4. Limitation of Liability
SoilSpectra's liability is strictly limited to repair or replacement of the device as described above.
SoilSpectra is not responsible for:
- Any data loss from the device
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
5. Warranty Transfer & Validity
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable, unless explicitly permitted by local law.
The warranty is valid only when:
- The product is purchased from SoilSpectra or an authorized partner/reseller.
- The serial number label and product labels are intact and not tampered with.
6. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of all states in India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
